According to the census bureau's 2006 estimates, there were 90,236 people. The racial makeup of the city was 42.8% White, 11.1% Black or African American, 0.4% Native American, 24.8% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 17.1% from other races, and 3.1% from two or more races. 26.7% of the population were Hispanic.
There were 30,642 households out of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.1% were married couples living together, 12.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.3% were non-families. 28.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
